Friday October 29, 2004 in the Tawa College Gym and Intermediate School Hall

It was always going to be a big event with a wide range of fun activities (details here), but the miserable weather on the day meant that certain ones scheduled for outdoors like 'Titanic & Iceberg', the Climbing Wall, and Graffiti Art (improving the appearance of an old car) all had to be canned. Somewhat disappointing. But on the bright side, a big number of Tawa youth turned up (somewhere between 350-500 we think, a bit hard to be exact), and looked to be thoroughly enjoying themselves. Those who put a lot of time and effort into organising the occasion were rather chuffed at the way it went and summed it up as 'a great success'. Now they'll have to figure out what to do next!
