June 15th - JUST DESSERTS

June 1st - TAWA RECREATION CENTRE
The local 'Push Play' co-ordinator ran a few new games for us in the old gym at Tawa College. It was a great venue and a lot of fun
with 41 kids taking part.

May 18th - GRUB ON THE TROT
It was a three-part feed - we had different courses at three different homes in Tawa, with a short walk between one place and the next. We started with chippies and sausage rolls at Malcolm's, walked down Gonville, St Johns, and Pembroke to get to Robyn's for the main course, and then back up the 78 steps and along the road to Rosie T's for dessert. 31 kids on the night.

May 4th - BLACK & WHITE NIGHT
A variety of black & white games in the church hall with 29 kids taking part.

April 27th - STADIUM OUTING
For details and pics, click here.

March 30th - CHOCOLATE-LOVERS' NITE
EAT Chocolate, THINK Chocolate, PLAY Chocolate - that's how it was advertised and that's what it was all about. We played games and took part in activities all centred around that most delicious of foods - chocolate! Always a popular occasion, with 48 kids involved. With any luck we'll have some pics on this site sometime.

March 16th - TAKING YOU FOR A RIDE
The church bus (and a few cars) carted us up to Aotea Lagoon. Some of the kids (33 on the night) brought their roller blades or skateboards to use on the long asphalt path around the outside of the lagoon. Most of us started the evening with a ride in the Aotea Lagoon train which we'd booked for an hour. After three full circuits most of the kids headed to the playground. After doing their own thing for a while, those who wanted to took part in a scavenger hunt. By 8.30pm it was reasonably dark, so we decided to head back to the church hall for supper and a short 'God spot' before our usual finish-time of 9pm. Four photos can
be seen on the Pics page.

March 2nd - WET AT WILLOWBANK
We started and finished at Willowbank on a very pleasant early autumn evening. A few games involving water balloons were followed by a
free-for-all with the remaining few hundred water balloons, water guns, and buckets filled up in the nearby stream. It wasn't easy to stay dry and most didn't! 25 boys and 24 girls took part on this occasion. A few photos can be seen on the
Pics page.

February 16th - THE GREAT INDOORS
It was meant to be outdoors (like an excursion to the beach) but it had rained in the morning and a cold southerly wind was still blowing late afternoon. The previous few days had been quite good weather-wise, but by now we're well used to our first Club Intermed programme each year being confined to the indoors!

34 kids were there, 11 for the very first time, 8 of those being in Year 6. The evening started in the church hall with an introductory welcome, followed by a fish 'n' chip tea. We then had a "Fill in the name of someone who ..." ( getting-to-know-you game), before Dawn brought us a talk about God being there to care for us.

Soon after 7pm we were on our way to the Porirua Aquatic Centre where we enjoyed the rest of the evening in the pool (well, at least the kids did).
