You're welcome to come as a family. Otherwise (for $2) we can provide transport for kids whose parents aren't able to bring them.
The main sports and activities in which the kids will be competing (against teams from other parts of Wellington) are:
- worldwide water bucket relay
- tug-of-war
- potato-on-spoon relay
- sack races
There will also be face painting available and family entertainment. Tawa Kids Games will be presenting a drama/dance about the life of 'Joseph'.
The Basin Reserve ground opens at 9.45am and parking is available in the grounds of Wellington College, entry off the Basin roundabout just to the left of Government House. Food and drink will be on sale but you are welcome to bring your own.
DO BRING: your Kids Games t-shirt, sunhat, drink, lunch, etc.
If wet, the Closing Ceremony will be held in the Wellington College hall.
If parents are able to take extra kids in their car, please let us know.
