Afternoon tea with 20 people. "Only two of houses invited didn't come, so a good show."

On the other side of the road, a barbecue with about 15 people. Some "overlap" from above event in same neighbourhood.

Hillary Street

"We were inside and small in number, but it's nice to get to know the people around you. If we had been out on the street on the Sunday with the nice weather, we would have had more people."


Kiwi Place

"We took over the garage of a neighbour for our barbeque. Ten people turned up, three from Kiwi Cres. Had a really good time and all wanting a repeat."


Oxford Street (near start)

"Our barbie went ahead as scheduled on the Sunday from 1pm onwards. We had around 40 people from 20 houses/flats."


Oxford Street (no. 15 to Cambridge St)

Drinks and nibbles from 4-6pm, with about 30 people ranging from a one year old child through to 80 years old. Somebody asked "Why haven't we done this for years? It's wonderful!"


Oxford Street (mid)

An afternoon tea involving a dozen people. "Some people knew each other well, but getting together was beneficial for those of us who leave the neighbourhood each day to go to work."


Rewa Tce

Postponed from the previous Saturday because of the weather. A small get-together of immediate neighbours.


Roy Street

"We held our pot luck lunch in Roy Street on Saturday. It was a great success with fantastic weather and about 25 people taking part."
