Pembroke St (upper)

Held on Sunday 25th March, 2012

After the inclement Saturday, Sunday dawned beautifully fine and as lunchtime approached the weather was looking good. For the upper Pembroke St BBQ at 12.15pm there was a good turnout of 13 of the 19 households invited. The top of the cul-de-sac was blocked and there about 32 people, including children, gathered at a sheltered area for food and a social time.

Some of the children enjoyed playing at the top of the street without the presence of traffic. The sun was gloriously warm and by the end of the day there were a few people with sunburn.

An enjoyable time was had by all involved and new contacts were made. There was comment that this should be a yearly event.
