Footnote: Tawa Community Theatre's Golden Jubilee history book, 'Packing Them In' (detailing the community theatre's history of theatrical success) by Rose Hudson, was officially launched at the Mervyn Kemp Library, Tawa, on Thursday, July 8th, 2004. The Mayor, Kerry Prendergast, was the Guest of Honour and launched this 6,500 volume of photos, posters, programmes, whimsical stories, wicked rumours, messages from the rich and famous, old and new gossip. Main theatrical and political personalities featuring in the story were 'on stage' to sign copies of the book. Autographed copies were available at the launch, and would be available at the Library from the next day.
