Most locals will have noticed by now those large scaffolding structures near the motorway on-ramps. They are there to allow Transpower to do maintenance work to their power lines. Netting has been strung over top of the motorway to create a fully protective structure as contractors replace conductors on the transmission lines. The actual setting up of the structures looks to have been a mammoth undertaking. One can only imagine the cost! Apparently they will be in place 4-6 weeks in all.
