Redwood School Gala 2007

This year's Redwood School Gala took place 3-7pm on Saturday 17th March. Unfavourable weather conditions earlier in the day meant that a decision had been made to 'can' the Titanic Adventure Slide & Iceberg Challenge (that's its full name) which would have been a rather major drawcard and generated a few extra dollars. Some of us had been quite looking forward to it! Oh well, maybe next time ...

As it was, good numbers of people turned out for the school's big day. It was still raining slightly at the time but that didn't seem to dampen people's spirits (pun intended). The photos below capture a little of the occasion.

Inspecting what's on offer. Very popular garage sale in the hall.
The tombola. Jaffa Roll being run by Room 18.
If you're gonna buy a plate of cakes, why not eat them on the spot? (Tom on the right is a former Redwood student - more than four years ago). The local Member of Parliament, Peter Dunne, trying his hand with a mystery envelope.
Knock it down and it's yours. Did that one hit or not?
It's all about food (well,
a lot of it is).
Former Redwood students (mostly Year 8 now).
