The new Tawa Community Centre in Cambridge St was opened by the Mayor, Kerry Prendergast, in a somewhat low-key ceremony last Saturday morning, 5th May, 2007. After a tour of the whole complex, one prominent resident said of the Centre: "It really is a marvellous facility." That describes it perfectly.
