When compilation of this page began on Tuesday, 24th October 2006, the weather outside was simply appalling. It was wet, cold, and thoroughly miserable. A little while earlier I'd been looking through some of my photos from October 2005 and came across these ones of a Sunday afternoon (16 October 2005) outing to the beach at Queen Elizabeth Park, just north of Paekakariki. They're Tawa people (which makes it relevant to this site) enjoying somewhat warmer weather than we've been experiencing these past few days. Perhaps this is a better example of what it really should be like at this time of the year! |
