Tawa's Mana Tiaki Cultural Festival took place over two nights in mid-September, involving a large number of talented performers from the rather young through to college-age. Many of the participants practise kapa haka on a weekly basis at the Tawa Community Centre, and others learn at local schools.

The Festival has now become an annual event, and well supported by the community. These pics show the moko being drawn on the faces of some of the younger participants in preparation for the evening's performance.
