In the Wellington region we don't get the blaze of orange or yellow or brown that some other centres, particularly Christchurch, get come autumn-time. Some trees stand out however, and this combination in Lyndhurst Road is one of them. The photo was taken well into May, late autumn in reality.
On checking out other autumn pics to be linked to this page, I've realised that this pic is almost identical to one I took a couple of years back. Oh well, too bad. That and another autumn pic can be seen here.
A hint of the fire station a little further along the road can be seen towards the bottom left of the shot.
