The messageboard shown here was installed on the library side of the Tawa Community Centre just prior to Christmas 2008. It is a joint effort of the Community Centre and the Tawa Community Board, and funded by the Wellington City Council.

The purpose of the messageboard is to announce upcoming events (in brief) and it also has space for birthday greetings and various other community happenings. So if have an event you would like featured on the board, or know of someone's birthday coming up, please forward the details to info@tawalink.com.

And, yes, it even reflects the houses across the street, including the one for sale, as well as a certain individual photographing the board itself.
