Police check on the Main Road

According to The DominionPost on Saturday, April 18: "A Police blitz has found a quarter of drivers carrying children put their young passengers' lives at risk with inadequate restraints. Wellington police and council officials stopped 752 cars carrying 926 child seats during the four-day blitz, which finished yesterday [Friday]."

The above pic shows the Police in action on Tawa's Main Road, between Lyndhurst Road and Mexted Motors, on Wednesday morning. Many cars were being waved through. Presumably it was just those with kids on board which were being stopped. At least seven police officers can be seen here. They meant business!
