This scene shows new housing in Mervyn Kemp Drive, the street curving round on the left of the pic. The road running from left to right is Woodman Drive, the southern end of which is also experiencing lots of new houses. On the very right is Bing Lucas Drive which continues on up the hill. It's mainly "lifestyle blocks" up that way, properties worth $1m plus.

This shot of the eastern hills was taken from the other side of the valley. This is about the only part of Tawa in which there's any room left for "extended" new housing, which is why it's all happening here.
