Andrew Strugnell is a passionate 21 year old ex-Tawa College student who self-funded his travels to South America, Finland and the USA for 3½ months earlier this year. He created a travel series on YouTube for viewers to experience the world through the lens of his video camera. "I thoroughly enjoy sharing positive stories," he says. "My travel series on YouTube was a success among friends and locals. People love to witness amazing views, meet colourful people and hear great stories - all from the comfort of their computer or lounge chair!"
Andrew has just recently been selected as a Top 3 Finalist with the Downunder World Challenge - a competition for one enthusiastic punter to travel around the world for 12 weeks and get their hands into projects that TEAR Fund NZ have in Uganda, India and the Philippines. He wishes to document exactly how some people are living in poverty in third world countries and show how local support given, even from the other side of the world, is directly beneficial to those in need through the TEAR Fund NZ organisation.
To win this awesome opportunity to travel and positively influence both local and distant communities through film, Andrew Strugnell asks for your support online. Visit www.voteandrew.tk to make your simple vote on Facebook today. Voting closes at 5pm on Friday 19th November. Your support will ultimately influence those in poverty and make their stories heard.
