It's not every day that you see a large tree having fallen from the slope at the side of the road onto the road itself, so why not take a photo? That's exactly what Derek Lightbourne did. The first two photos below are his, taken on Sunday 6th March on the Main Road in Tawa, just north of McLellan St. The third photo was taken by Malcolm Sparrow the following day, showing the latter stages of the clean-up operation.
