Seagulls at Linden Park

One minute seagulls in their dozens were resting happily on the grass at Linden Park, alongside the Main Road at the north end of Tawa, as per the first pic below. The next minute they had been spooked by something or someone, resulting in the vast majority taking to the air. All fascinating stuff - well, not really. In case you're interested, it was earlyish on a Sunday morning towards the start of April.

P.S. There are about 125 seagulls in the first shot, and who knows how many in the second?

P.P.S. Why would anyone waste their time counting them?
