A few weeks back we featured pics showing where a number of trees at the southern entrance to Tawa had been felled. See "Fewer trees at the entrance to Tawa". The above shot includes that setting (centre left of pic) and considerably more.
In the foreground is the main trunk line leading into Takapu Road Station. At right is the station carpark. The roadway leading off to the left is Willowbank Road and the houses, upper middle, are in Sunrise Boulevard.
Three replacement trees (mentioned in that earlier page) were planted in late August. Their protective wooden structures can be seen in the middle of this page, just below the floral Tawa sign.
