We started the evening (Friday September 15th, 2006), at Bowland Porirua with 50 kids on eight bowling lanes. From there it was back to the church hall for hot chips and a cold drink.

In the same groups of six (or seven), we then headed over to the Main Road shopping block with a sheet of questions, the idea being to answer as many as possible within the 25 minutes available - the "Central Tawa Quest" it was called. Two sample questions were: "How much for a haircut at Jimmy's the Hairdresser?" and "You will see a map of Tawa on public display, and a list of dates. What opened in 1961?"

Harder questions were given more marks than easier ones. End results ranged from 720 marks through to the winning team's 1510. Click here for results in full.

As this was our last Club Intermed event for the third term, it was a 3-hour special which finished back at the hall at 10pm.

The pics below show the 10-pin bowling action.
