Various summer scenes

We've had some decent summer weather this week (as at 21st January 2010), but up till now it hasn't been a particuarly good one in Wellington. In fact the chirping of cicadas this time around has been conspicuously absent. Details of how bad a summer it had been from Christmas-time through to mid-January are set out on the two charts below.

The other five pics are various summer settings. The pohutukawa trees have been looking good in the last week or so, and last evening (Wednesday) was pleasant enough for a visit to the beach. Long may it continue!
