in Tawa

Week 9 - Friday April 4th, 2003

This was our last evening programme, with just on 100 kids taking part. The actual "closing ceremony" takes place at the Basin Reserve on Saturday April 12th.

After a few outdoor games, we were back in the hall to see our dance & drama group bring us their Joseph presentation. This was the dress rehearsal before their big performance at the Basin Reserve next week. We were then privileged to have the highly-rated Musical Island Boys, a Tawa College barbershop quartet, sing to us and tell us how important Jesus is in their lives. The college rock band who performed on our first night brought a few of their numbers too, in a slightly different style to the MIB!

In between times we got stuck into a heap of party food (being our last night and all), and dished out thank yous to all those who had played a part in making Kids Games in Tawa a great success.
