Colonial Grove

No. 1 - Held on Sunday 9th March, 2014

Many thanks to Ian and Glenys for being such great hosts on Sunday evening. With a few people saying they couldn't make it, a bit of a southerly wind and all the extra visiting cars in the street on Sunday due to the fabulous wedding, we decided to postpone till next week, but when Nigel and Katherine came along and others came out for a meeting in the street, including Bobby stopping in his new van, it was decided to have Ian crank up the barbie and we were all set to go at their place.

We had a great evening together (13 of us), and probably overstayed our welcome. We stayed on even when it started to get cold. Our houses were nice and warm when we returned home.

Guess what? We're going to have another barbecue next Sunday, weather permitting. If wet, we'll go for the following Sunday. Everyone enjoyed themselves so much we thought it was a good idea, so for those who couldn't come, we'd love to see you along this coming Sunday, same time, same place. Thanks again Ian and Glenys.

No. 2 - Held on Sunday 23rd March, 2014

We at Colonial Grove enjoyed our extra neighbourhood barbecue last night. On a fine and sunny afternoon 17 people attended and once again Ian and Glenys hosted at the front of the garages.

A great time was had by all, and it was good that some people took the time to come over, even though they were having their meal later.
