Mexted Tce West

"High tea" on Sunday 17th March, 2013

Ossie and Jenny Fountain hosted the high tea and set out a beautiful array of crockery for such an event. Everyone brought along a lovely plate of goodies to share and these looked very inviting set out on the lace tablecloth. We had scones with jam and cream, spicy apple muffins, raisin muffins, cucumber sandwiches, asparagus rolls, cheese scones, lemon cake, louise cake and apricot slice to name but a few!

We had a total of 24 people attending, from 10 households. It was great to catch up with everyone. There was lots of chatting and lots of laughter and the kids enjoyed a variety of games that Ossie and Jenny had put out to play. During the event we all commented how nice it was to finally see the rain falling outside! Lucky the event was one hosted indoors!

Overall a very successful Neighbours' Day celebration in Mexted Tce West!
