Each September one or more kowhai trees in bloom seem to feature on this site. Probably because that's the time of year the kowhai tree is a blaze of yellow for a few short weeks.

As the heading indicates, these pics were taken in McLellan St - near the railway crossing on Monday 20 September 2010. The schoolchildren below are a Tawa Intermediate class returning to school from the pool in Davies St.
