Week 6 - Friday March 14th, 2003

It's getting darker earlier in the evenings and next week will be even "worse" because daylight saving will have ended. For that reason Kids Games will be starting 30 minutes earlier at 6.30pm.

We made the most of another pleasant evening with games of non-stop cricket and outdoor volleyball - as shown in some of the pics below.

The life-story of Joseph continued with Pharaoh, the powerful ruler of Egypt, stressing over strange dreams he'd been having. No-one could explain their meaning until Pharaoh's cupbearer remembered that when he'd been in prison some years earlier, a fellow prisoner had accurately interpreted dreams both he and the baker had had. That prisoner, Joseph, was then brought to Pharaoh and, with God's help, he explained to Pharaoh that his dreams meant there would be 7 years of plenty (of food) in the land of Egypt followed by 7 years of severe famine. Pharaoh was obviously very pleased with Joseph because he not only had him released from prison, but he raised him to second-in-charge in the whole land. A very sudden and unexpected change in Joseph's fortunes! God was still with him.
