Despite a less-than-positive weather forecast, the 2003 gala took place on a very pleasant early autumn day. This was a major factor in seeing a big number of people turn out for the occasion. Some of the action is recorded below.




  • The popular "chocolate toss". Toss a 50c coin.
    Land on the chocolate and it's yours. Simple really!
  • Sausages, steak sandwiches, chicken kebabs
  • Various "ethnic food"







  • Hot chips
  • Spider drinks. Mix one large spider and your choice of soft drink in the blender. Delicious!
  • Tucking into lunch
  • The tombola crowd
  • Cake stall
  • Various crafts







  • Face painting
  • Finger nail painting
  • Fridge magnets
  • Mini jeeps
  • Tossing the tennis ball. You might not see it
    at first, but it's there!

  • Redwood School "graduates" - boys who were
    in Year 6 in 2002 (now at Intermediate)
  • Pay before you play
  • The air castle for those 10 and younger
  • A quick go for some older than 10!
