Note: It may be evident that the pages which link to this one have a certain red and black slant - this because the "author" is a born and bred Cantabrian, despite now residing in Tawa. A conscientious effort is being made however to include more and more about "our own" Hurricanes for whom the 2003 season is looking better all the time!

Footnote (end of March 2003): Midway through the current competition, the Hurricanes are near the top of the table. Let's hope they stay there!

Further footnote (end of April 2003): The Hurricanes have continued their winning streak and are sitting "comfortably" in second place. With the Crusaders having just missed out on their opportunity to go ahead of them, the Hurricanes are guaranteed a semifinal spot and, for the first time time in years, may very well end their Super 12 season ahead of the red and blacks!

Final placings (end of May 2003): The Hurricanes ended their season in 3rd place on 34 points, behind the Crusaders who were runners-up on 40 points. With a record of 7 wins and 4 losses, 2003 has been the Hurricanes' best season in the Super 12 yet.
