'CANCELLED' - that's what the signs read on Tuesday, December 6th. There had been rain at times in the days leading up to the event, and despite that having stopped by the Tuesday morning, the ground was still wet and the forecast promised more rain. Although the evening itself was quite pleasant weather-wise (without the rain), the decision had had to be made in the middle of the day. As it hadn't been feasible to schedule a postponement date, Carols & Roses never happened in 2005.
